Your document contents stay on your computer. Document History Bridge has no account system, analytics, telemetry, advertising, or cloud document storage.

What the app stores

The desktop app stores watched-folder paths, content-addressed snapshots, extracted preview text, capture times, and file hashes in its operating-system application data directory. This information never leaves your device through the app.

License verification

If you buy or restore an Archive license, the app sends only the license token and product slug to the Sociobot billing API to check validity. The website stores the returned license token locally in your browser after checkout. It is not sent anywhere else.

Downloads and checkout

Installer downloads are served by GitHub Releases. Purchases are handled by Sociobot and Dodo, the merchant of record; their privacy terms apply to payment data. This site does not receive card details.

Deleting your data

Remove watched folders inside the app and delete Document History Bridge’s application data directory to erase the local archive. Uninstalling alone may preserve that directory to protect recoverable history.
